Presets
Copies of your photos sized for sharing, messages, Instagram and prints, cropped or on a white border, or with your watermark. The original is never changed.
A preset makes a new version of a photo for where it is going next — a share-size JPEG, a small one for a message, an Instagram crop, a print at 300 DPI, a copy with your logo on it. There is nothing to set up: pick the photos, pick the preset. Each result is a new photo next to the original, which is never changed.
Running a preset
- Select one or more photos in the library — or open one.
- Choose Process in the selection bar — or Process… from a photo's ⋯ menu, on its tile or in the bar above an open photo.
- Pick what to make. The list is grouped by where the photos are going — Share & post, Print, Improve, Convert & keep — and the sizes of one kind share a row of paper-shaped tiles, drawn in their real proportions. Where a size comes both ways, the Crop / Border switch chooses between a crop that fills the frame and the whole photo on a white border.
- Check the proof beside the list: your photo as the preset makes it, with one line saying its size, its format and whether the camera data is kept. A crop is marked the way a print lab marks it — crop marks at the corners, the part that is cut away darkened — and drawn centred, while the real crop follows the subject. A border version shows the photo on its white sheet. Click another photo of the selection to see it on that one.
- The results go next to each original unless you pick another folder under Save to. Click the button, which says what it will do — Process 12 photos.
The same dialog holds the AI actions, after the presets.
The photos are processed in the background; a progress card in the corner counts them, and View job opens the details.

| Size | Pixels | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| 4×6 in | 1800 × 1200 | 300 DPI |
| 5×7 in | 2100 × 1500 | 300 DPI |
| 8×10 in | 3000 × 2400 | 300 DPI |
| 8×12 in | 3600 × 2400 | 300 DPI |
| A4 (297 × 210 mm) | 3508 × 2480 | 300 DPI |
| 11×14 in | 4200 × 3300 | 300 DPI |
| 16×20 in | 4800 × 3840 | 240 DPI, the usual resolution for a large print |
Every print size comes two ways: Crop fills the paper and cuts what falls outside it; Border keeps the whole photo, uncropped, inside a white border of at least 0.25 in. Both are print-sharpened JPEGs at maximum quality, and both keep the camera data and the location.
The print follows the photo: a portrait photo gets a portrait print, a landscape one a landscape print — and a border version turns its paper the same way.
Improve
| Preset | What you get | Camera data and location |
|---|---|---|
| Auto Enhance | Auto contrast and subtle sharpening, as a full-size JPEG | Kept |
| Black & White | High-contrast monochrome, as a full-size JPEG | Kept |
Convert & keep
| Preset | What you get | Camera data and location |
|---|---|---|
| Convert to JPEG | Full-size JPEG from a RAW, HEIC or any other format | Kept |
| Lossless Archive | Lossless WebP at full size | All kept |
The presets that make a copy for other people — sharing, messages, Instagram and your watermark — leave out the camera data and the location. The rest keep them, so a print or a converted JPEG still knows when and where it was taken.
With my watermark
The With my watermark presets put your own logo in the bottom-right corner of each copy, slightly see-through and at most a fifth of the copy's width — the same logo your shared albums show. Set it in Account → General → Share pages. Until there is one, the dialog greys these presets out and links to Add a logo. The proof does not draw the logo; every copy carries it.
How many
Presets run without limit on every plan, Free included. Each result is a new photo, so it counts toward your storage like any other. See Pricing.
